Medical Insurance Accepted:
In-Network - Out of Network – What does it mean?
In-Network:

When an insurance company offers compensation for our services, which
is acceptable in comparison with the market standards, then a contract is
created between our company and theirs. We are then listed as one of
the businesses with which the insurance company does business, a
member in their “network” of providers. With respect to that company, we
are then stated to be “In Network.” Under such circumstances, Upper
Valley Urgent Care Center has agreed to accept the amount paid by your
insurance company and therefore you won’t be required to pay more,
however, there are exceptions. For instance, when you have a deductible
or co-insurance to meet with your company in which case you will be
required to pay for all care up to the amount of the deductible or co-
insurance, at which time your insurance would “kick-in.”

Out-of-Network:

When no contract exists between your Health Insurance Company and
Upper Valley Urgent Care Center, then we are said to be “out-of-network”
or in other words, we are not listed as one of your health insurance
company’s members with whom they have a negotiated fee agreement. At
Upper Valley Urgent Care Center, depending upon the company, we may
still agree to provide you care and services and  bill your insurance
company, with the agreement that whatever part of the bill not covered by
your insurance company, will be paid by you. How much your company will
pay differs from company to company: some companies may pay all and
others may pay none. What is most important is that you understand you
will be responsible for the balance. To receive care you will be asked to
sign an agreement in which you accept such responsibility.
