| UPPER VALLEY URGENT CARE CENTER |
1. Updates: This page is hereby dedicated for official updates to operations policies and other items
of interest at our facility. We are enjoying success due to the patronage of you and your families and
your businesses. We hope you continue to use our services and wish all of you the best of health and
prosperity.
2. Digital X-ray: June 2009: Digital radiology capability replaces the old film style x-rays of the past.
Copies of X-rays now are available on CD ROM. This step keeps pace with technology and reduces
expenses for patients.
3. Certification: June 2009: We proudly announce that we are the first Member urgent care facility
of the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA) to be certified not only in the City of El Paso but
the entire state of Texas. Certification status means that our facility meets specific criteria to qualify
itself at a nationally recognized level of expertise as an urgent care facility. Examples of these criteria
include the fact that we are open over 360 days a year, that we afford a wide array of services for the
episodic illnesses and injuries that are typically addressed by quality urgent care centers, to name a
few.
4. Fourth Year Anniversary Nov 2010: On November 1, 2010, Upper Valley Urgent Care Center
celebrated its fourth year of being open. We appreciate all the loyal customer/patients who continue to
seek our services and we never forget that you are what we are here for and that service to you is how
we make our living. Proudly we can declare that our total number of patient visits has exceeded 50,000
during this time period.
5. Endorsement David Rodriguez Heavy Weight Boxing Contender: On a separate sideline, we are
proud to endorse our hometown son, David Rodriguez who we have had the pleasure of knowing
since he was a child. He is some kind of mean stuff as a heavy-weight boxer, so please come out to
see him box whenever he is in town and cheer him on. I offered a prayer for his consideration which is
listed below:

I humbly beseech almighty God, towering power of all goodness, to grant me the endurance,
unwavering determination, strength of spirit and body, to rise above and overcome this
Spartan opponent I am to confront. And, with your gracious will and by your staff and light to
guide me; I continue to live with my every devotion of spiritual-being, in your name, to insure
your will prevails on this earth against our enemies and all that is evil. Amen.
6. Coming Soon! Doubling Size Urgent Care Center (Oct 2011):
The Upper Valley Urgent Care Center is happy to report that our plans for doubling the size of our
center have been approved and will be getting underway in the immediate future.
According to leadership at the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA); this expansion to a 20
bed facility will make the Upper Valley Urgent Care Center (UVUCC) most likely the largest urgent care
center in the United States of America, a distinction we are proud to share with our home city of El
Paso, TX.
The center presently has ten exam rooms and therefore, ten beds available for patient evaluations.
We will be increasing the number of beds to a total of 20 with an additional add-on two story building
featuring a total of 6,000 additional square feet.
The new addition will be accessed by three corridors that will be created through existing walls. The
additional space will allow for more people to be seen at a single time which will permit us to live up to
our market pledge for fast service. The addition will also have two large minor surgery rooms capable
of also monitoring medical patients as well. There will be two rooms dedicated to orthopedics and a
new wrap-around nursing station. All in all, with this expansion, we will be able to maintain the high
quality of care that we've become known for.
